Accessibility Evaluation: Our team of experts conducts thorough assessments of websites, documents, and apps to identify accessibility barriers and compliance gaps. We conduct manual audits with real users who use industry-standard evaluation criteria, such as WCAG 2.1 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines), Android and Apple accessibility guidelines, and deliver detailed reports that highlight issues and recommended solutions.

Collaborative Support: We work closely with your company and provide guidance and support to your software development team, quality assurance team, or the organization. Our goal is to help integrate accessibility best practices into your existing workflows and processes.

Accessible Technology Training: To empower your team with the skills and knowledge needed to create and maintain accessible digital content, we provide comprehensive training on accessible technology, including screen readers, keyboard navigation, and other assistive technologies.

Our Work in Action

GE Appliances

APH staff spent six months working with GE Appliances to help build accessibility into an app. Services provided included:

  • Overview and discussion regarding real life examples of how people who are blind interact with phones/apps/websites

  • Taught GE Appliance’s team accessible coding techniques

  • Extensive QA testing with their team

  • Result – Transformed a completely inaccessible app for wall ovens into an accessible app and enabled an independent cooking experience for the blind user.

APH collaborated with GE Appliances to develop the award‑winning Appliances Access Kit, featuring 450+ tactile stickers for common household and small appliances, enabling users who are blind or low vision to operate them independently. The kit was named one of KBIS 2024’s 15 Winning Products for Kitchen and Bath.

Thales In-Flight Entertainment Project

APH staff served as advisory and accessibility consultants regarding in-flight software to ensure accessibility for low vision and deaf users.

  • Accessibility design practices, workflow changes – based on how a blind person travels and the tools they currently use.

  • Iterative, on-going project.
